Since I have never built my own wood or gas kiln, I am often limited to firing my pots in the oxidative environment of an electric kiln. This too has its own challenges –to develop surface decorations that have depth, texture, and variability.
Below is a gallery of pots that I have made and fired in oxidation in past scenarios. Most of them were made at my home studio when I lived in MA; others were made while I was an instructor at Earthworks Pottery School in East Longmeadow, MA.
